But when it gets cold outside the garage door won t open in cold weather if you are low on grease.
It activates but just flashes the light and returns to open position.
Remote will not work.
Sometimes the lubricant that is used on garage doors is not suited for cold weather.
To fix remove circuit board inspect solder joints for crack re solder when you find the crack.
Cold weather especially can affect your garage door since it s outside.
Or the garage door opener may not be able to open the door at all.
For intermittent issues with the sensors you may just want to do a hard reset of the system.
In the cold your garage door opener may strain to open the door which could create greater energy costs to you or cause the garage door or opener to break.
During cold weather door will not close unless you hold the button on wall in during the entire process.
One of the solder joints has a crack in it that contracts as the temps drop and breaks the connection at the joint.
